D-blade got slightly nerfed for pure auto attackers and slightly buffed otherwise. D-shield slightly nerfed for melee. D-ring slightly buffed for champs that can trade more often. Second wind nerf mostly affects champs who don’t buy D-shield or lack high hp/5 regen in the early game.

Gwen is reverted to her old state. She didn’t have much competitive presence in this version of the kit due to weaker laning phase (mostly used as a tank counter pick), but she was pretty good in solo queue due to inevitable strong scaling and carry potential. This revert is ultimately a great buff to Gwen if we compare her to the previous patch.

The biggest winners of the patch are going to be strong early game, ranged champs like Jayce, Kennen and Aurora and their niche counter picks. Biggest losers of the patch are going to be champions like Aatrox, Sion, K’Sante, Renekton, Poppy, Jax, Rek’Sai… who struggle to lane into ranged champions before the first recall. These champions relied on D-shield and second wind to push them through the hardest parts of the laning phase.

We have minor shake-ups to the high-low priority list until Riot manages to fix lane swaps for competitive play. While most bruisers and tanks are weaker on average they are still the best at fulfilling the defensive roles of a toplaner.

Most notable changes are depicted with green and red arrows. TLDR is that most ranged champions are slightly better while some of the melees who lack mobility and struggle into ranged are slightly worse.
